Spice Racks

Candi loves to cook and bake, and intends to keespice-rackp doing so in the camper. We have racks
of spices all over the kitchen and we’re going to need someplace to keep them, and keep them organized. Candi found these online in Amazon so we bought 3 of them. They fit the jars that come from Penzey’s or the Spice House where she gets most of her spices … and they fit perfectly on a blank wall space that is the side of our pantry cabinet. We use small bungee cords that come in multi-packs to keep the jars on the racks while traveling.

This is not really original but it really does work great for us. It made us nutz figuring out where to put our shoes so they’d be out of the way, yet still by the door. These are the larger hooks from 3M that we’ve all seen called Command Strips. We kept trying to find shoe hooks our shoes wouldn’t fall off of  (especially Mike’s big feet) and got these at Home Depot (or Lowes).

4K TV

Yeah, I know … why on earth if you’re camping do you want to watch TV? Well, let’s face it, crappy weather days happen. And after all, this is where we intend to live and we do LOVE our movies …

So, we decided to replace the ‘el cheapo’ 32” flat panel that came with the rig, with whatever would be the largest one we could fit into it. Our TV was recessed into a cabinet on a lift and we wanted to retain the lift mechanism. So we measured what the maximum width of the inside of the cabinet was … and went shopping! … then cutting … then YIPPEE! 4K in all it’s glory! (and better than what we have in the house!)

Unfortunately the TV does still stick up a little bit when down so we had to give up the solid counter-top covering the hole, but it’s worth it to us! Up soon will be the Home Theater sound system!
