The Cinque Terre villages are 5 stunning, colorful fishing towns on Italy’s rugged Ligurian coast. We got to visit several of them by boat.
First up was Porto Vernere, a quaint town with cobblestone roads lined with shops and restaurants. As we were walking we tried some the absolute BEST pesto we’ve ever had! Sadly it was only available as fresh and there was no way to bring any home with us.

At one end of town is the San Pietro Church which dates back to 1198.

We visited Monterosso al Mare, another cute village, where we got to try our first pizza in Italy. Unfortunately, it looked great but didn’t live up to our expectations.
